About this trip
The cheapest way to see the Kashmir valley properly rather than partially. This is the same four-night route our 3★ circuit runs — Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam, with a night on a Dal Lake houseboat — at 2★ accommodation and a lower total.
What you give up is hotel comfort, not sightseeing. The vehicle is still private for the whole trip, the shikara hour is still included, and no destination is cut to reach the price. If the trip matters more than the room, this is the one we recommend.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Arrival in Srinagar & local sightseeing
- Warm welcome on arrival at Srinagar Airport by our representative.
- Transfer to hotel and check-in.
- Local sightseeing of Srinagar — Mughal Gardens (Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh), Chashme Shahi and Shankaracharya Temple.
- Enjoy a 1 hour Shikara ride at the famous Dal Lake.
- Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 2Day trip to Gulmarg
- After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (50 km, approx. 2 hours) through Tangmarg.
- Free time at the meadow — the Gondola cable car, pony rides or a walk up towards Khilanmarg.
- Gondola tickets are booked separately and sell out in season; we advise booking ahead.
- Return to Srinagar in the evening.
Overnight in Srinagar
Day 3Day trip to Pahalgam
- Drive to Pahalgam (90 km, approx. 2.5 hours) along the Lidder river, passing the saffron fields at Pampore.
- Visit Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and Chandanwari by local union vehicle.
- Pony rides and union vehicle charges are paid locally at fixed rates and are not included.
- Return to Srinagar in the evening.

Day 4Srinagar at leisure & houseboat stay
- Morning free for the Old City — Jama Masjid, Khanqah-e-Moula and the lanes around Hari Parbat.
- Transfer to a Dal Lake houseboat by shikara and check in.
- Evening free on the water.
- Overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 5Departure
- Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
- Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight.
- Note that the last flights out of Srinagar are early — plan the day accordingly.
