Dogra Art Museum
Miniatures and artefacts in the Pink Hall.
The sprawling palace complex of the Dogra rulers in old Jammu, built over more than a century from the 1820s, mixing Rajasthani, Mughal and European styles. Partly restored; houses the Dogra Art Museum.
Mubarak Mandi was the royal seat of the Dogra rulers of Jammu and Kashmir, built and extended over more than a century from the 1820s. Its courtyards, halls and wings show a mix of Rajasthani, Mughal and European Baroque styles.
After the royal family moved out, the complex housed government offices and suffered damage from neglect and earthquakes. Restoration has been under way for several years. The Pink Hall houses the Dogra Art Museum with miniature paintings, manuscripts and arms.
Some parts are open and others under restoration — what you can see changes. Combine with Raghunath Temple nearby.
