From Qazigund the highway passes under the Pir Panjal through the Navyug tunnel, then follows the Bichlari and Chenab rivers through Ramban — the slowest section, prone to landslides in heavy rain. Further tunnels at Chenani–Nashri bypass Patnitop.

Going on to Katra or the airport
Jammu airport and Jammu Tawi station are on the way into the city, and Katra is about an hour further. Ask for a direct drop fare.
